James Greer
Professor and coordinator of the welding program at Moraine Valley Community College, Palos, Hills, Illinois, where he introduces students to the welding industry. In addition to his educational responsibilities, Greer is president of Techno-Weld Welding Consultants. He has over 30 years of welding industry experience and served as AWS President in 2004-2005. Greer is also a three-term AWS vice-president and has served in several leadership roles on various AWS committees. He holds a Master of Science in Education from Chicago State University.

Steve Mattson
A member of the American Welding Society for over 20 years, Mattson currently serves on the AWS Board of Directors as District Director for AWS Section #5. He is also the owner of Mattson Repair Service Inc., an authorized factory service center for all major manufactures of welding and plasma equipment. Mattson resides in Jacksonville, FL with his wife and daughter.

Ed Norman (CWI/CWE)
Is from Monett, MO and has taught Welding Technology at the Southwest Area Career Center for the past twenty-seven years. He has owned and operated an inspection/consulting business throughout Southwest Missouri since 1999. He has been a CWI/CWE for thirteen years. A recipient of the Howard E. Adkins Memorial Instructor Membership award, as well as district and section awards, heis also Past President of the Missouri Trade & Technical Association. Ed is currently involved with the AWS Education committee, SkillsUSA National Technical committee and National Education team.

Dr. W. Richard Polanin
He is Professor and Program Chair of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Welding Technology programs at Illinois Central College. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Illinois State University and a Doctorate from the University of Illinois. In addition to his responsibilities at the college, Dr. Polanin is a consultant in manufacturing engineering, and welding engineering and inspection. He has published text books, numerous papers, and made many technical presentations in the areas of Manufacturing, Robotics, Welding and Manufacturing Education. Dr. Polanin is a graduate of the Illinois Scholars program sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education and Illinois Community College Board and is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer, Certified Welding Inspector, and a Certified Welding Educator.
