I used a similar comment with a steel erector once. I asked him if he would let his wife, daughter, or grandchildren enter the store if it was raining, windy, or if it was snowing?
He didn't say a word, but gave me a look and fixed every item I had rejected. The problems I encountered on the rest of the project were few and minor in comparison to the problems I initially reported.
