I got a free 10* can of 1/8 LowHigh Downhill Lincoln. I am wondering what amperage range to start out at for trying them out.

Not sure. The lincoln website may have a range for you, I would start around 125 amps and go from there

I got em free from an Airgas. Somebody had them order them and never showed back up. He just handed them to me and said to try em out. I figure I should probably try and get my hands on some 12" to try it out on.

I agree with downhand it has got to be HOT or it didnt seem to run right for me.
