Dont have my code with me. Can somebody look and see what group(s) the following 2 materials fall into?
API 5L X70
ASTM A572 G50
Both materials will be 3/16" thick

AWS D1.1:2010, Table 3.1 for Prequalified materials lists A572 Gr50 as a Group II material. API 5L X70 is unlisted in this table.
AWS B2.1 2009 lists both materials as M#1, Group 3

You didn't say, I'm assuming AWS D1.1 Table 3.1
API 5L X70 - not listed, highest grade I see for API 5L is X52 in Group II
ASTM A572 G50 - Group II

Forgot to say D1.1 2010, not sure what edition my customer is on, but that's what I remembered, X70 as unlisted
Will have to see if my guy is set up on B2.1
