Use your word processor to make your own. Then you can use your computer to fill in the blanks and look like a real professional.

Welcome to the Forum Remote.

I think you may be misunderstanding scope of D1.1 Clause 3 (Prequalification of WPS's).

The code does NOT provide any actual prequalified procedures that can be used in production.

Clause 3 lists base metals, processes and joint configurations that have been proven historically to be consistently joined when the essential variables (also listed in tables in clause 3) are applied within the limits specified.

It's a pretty common mistake so don't feel bad.

So while you will not find production WPS's in D1.1, in clause 3 you will find the base metals, joint types, and essential variables that you can use to create your own prequalified WPS.    If the process, base metals or variables do not fit into the scope of Clause 3, than you must qualify the procedure by testing via clause 4.

Here is a link that takes a few baby steps in explaining in more depth. Written with love by one of the posters here.

It is interesting they have it filed under recipes.

Cooking, welding, its all the same.

I think its between the section for selecting the proper roofing tin for bushog repairs and techniques for making your weld more harderer!

You make your own WPS's according to the rules within the code (Prequalified or Qualified By Testing) or you can purchase Standard WPS's from the American Welding Society.

Also, there are sample forms in the Annex N in the back of D1.1 that have some info on them as examples only.  They are not for use.  They are no good as illustrated.  You don't want to download them.

This is not for the lazy.  You must do your own leg work and put one together.  They are sample forms so your's don't have to look identical to what is displayed but should be similar.
