I HAVE A 1968 SA-200 WITH THE VACUM IDLER IT WORKS FINE AND IDLES UP GOOD WHEN THE ARC IS STRUCK BUT THE POWER OUTLET WILL NOT IDLE UP WHEN A GRINDER, DRILL, ECT IS PLUGED IN WHEN YOU PUT IT ON HIGH IDLE IT WORKS GREAT ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED THANKS, MIKE

It will not idle up on its own. You have to manuly pin it. It is also a d/c output, most drills are not.

if i was to convert the idler to a pc board would it idle up ??? lookin for some options thanks, mike

I have been using the R-57 upgrade kits from weldtron.com. I have had very good luck with those. Pretty simple to install. I have a shorthood with the bellows idler in the shop that I am fixing to upgrade. weldmart.com also has a lot of 200 parts and upgrades. Troy planb@txwinet.com
