I'm looking at an engineering drawing showing some fillet welds on some Monel bars. The welds are primarily being used to "fair" the two bars together and are rounded so that a rope can pass around the bars on a smooth, rounded surface. They aren't structural welds per se, but they will see a slight load from the rope.
Anybody have any warnings or comments on the ease or difficulty in welding Monel.
ps: This is for a trolley that pulls submarines into an msf facility so everything has to be non-magnetic.
Thanks for any advice offered.
Regards,
Bob
