I want to qualify PQR/WPS for Killed carbon steel materials (an european materials such as P265GH for pipes, BF48N for flange & AE250B for elbow) which is considered as unassigned material in ASME IX. The possible connections are pipe to pipe, pipe to flange, pipe to elbow & elbow to flange and the diameters are 25mm (with thickness 4.5mm thick, socket weld), 50mm (5.6mm thick butt & socket), 100mm (6.3mm ~8.8mmt butt), 150mm dia (7.1~11mmt butt), 250mm dia (6.3mm thick butt). There is also a requirement of impact test at 0 degree. Now my problem is how many test specimen per connection (i.e. how many flange, elbow & pipe) will I prepare?  Also there is a connection between pipe to valve (A350 Gr LF2 and A352 Gr LCC). Do I need a separate qualification for this one using equivalent pipe material (instead of the valve?

Are the qualifications to comply with ASME IX or D1.1?
