And what kind of pay are you getting? If that's too personal just ignore it. :-)

I'm working in Freeport ,Tx. for Zachry at the new LNG plant they're building. Pay is $24 hour and $65 a day per diem. Before that I was out in Las Vegas working for Lauren at the solar power plant. They paid $25 and $60.

I was in Anchorage at the Veco fab shop for 6 years till October of last year, but the prospect of another 6 month winter was too much to bear. Veco was paying $28, I wasn't getting per diem cause I lived in Anchorage, but some of the guys were getting around $60, I think.

I have a rig truck that's been in mothballs for about 6 years, I'm gonna get that thing back in shape and head up to Colorado or Wyoming and see if I can get some of that big money they're throwing around. Too dern hot to weld in Texas, I just came down here to visit the folks and wait for it to warm up a little up north.

Be prepared to jump through the hoops, and wait for your money if you come up here.

Whatchu talkin bout, Willis? :-)

I worked my truck for a little while in Gillette in '99, Hettinger Welding treated me pretty good. I'm wondering what the housing situation is up around
Meeker, Colorado, there's a job there looks to be paying pretty decent money. Don't like no hoops or waiting for my money, though.

I am working anywhere I can, but atleast I am working. Right now I have a small structural job going, a few sets of truck racks in the garage, and misc equipment repair work. I keep hustling, and the work keeps coming.

You can't ever turn work away. If you do, you will want to commit suicide when times are really slow!
