The material of the pressure vessel(vacuum tower in oil refinery)is SA516 Gr.70. Because of the huge diameter(DN10.5meter), the pressure test can not be hydrostatic test which is usually performed. So under these conditions, can we use FCAW process instead of SMAW( SAW is not practical for the site condition)?
