Is it correct to weld an ss 321 D = 3", t= 5/16" pipe with E-347-15 and AWS D1.1 section 3?Single V-groove weld (2) Butt joint (B)

347 is certainly a primary filler of choice for 321. Try and find 321 stick. But I would ask, 321 under AWS D1.1?

Thank you. I`m going to use E347-16 & 321 because with this materials the ferrita number is almost 3 in the wrc-1992

D1.1 is a code specification for carbon steel so it does not cover 321 or 347.
AWS D1.6 is the structural code for stainless and the good news is that it also provides a section for prequalified procedures
