Flint Energy is always hiring pipe welders. They range from Texas to Pinedale Wyoming. 28 on the rig, 26 on the hand, and 100 bucks per dium.

Elkhorn Has a bunch of work by Ft. Worth in the Barnett Shale Play. Pay about the same as 'Dough with a little less sub. Several other contractors in that area. You are going to have to find and drive up on the job. Hit the RV parks in the area and when you see a rig, stop and ask if they know if anybody is hiring.
Better have your game on though. These contractors expect you to produce. Most of the pipeliners are doing a 12 inch 6G. The tie in and compressor hands have to do a 12 on 12 butt and branch. 5P+ or 70+ bead with 7010 or 8010 Hot pass -Cap. These guys will require the bead and hot pass to be run with a 5/32" with the fill and cap run with 3/16" . The compressor plant hands are 2" sch 80 and 6 or 8 inch Sch 80. 5P+ bead and HP, 7018 cap.
Lots of work in West Texas but the rates are lower. Work in the Panhandle near Borger. Same rules.
Find a RV park and ask welders. If you are driving down the road and see a welding job, stop and ask if they are hiring. No applications, no resumes. Just pass the durn test!
Good Luck
