Can anyone tell me why Edelbrock carbs are such a pain in the *ss to rebuild vs Holley's??

I've soaked em, cleaned em with cleaner, replaced every gasket, and prayed to the hot rod Gods before I put em back on that they would work right.

They never do........!

Oh oh,

I just put a Performer intake and Edelbrock 4bbl on the Olds.  Runs great but the carb is brand new.  Is this what I'm facing in the future?  Oh, well, by then maybe there will be a simple fuel injection system.  I sent a silent prayer to the hot rod gods for you.

Bob those carbs are very sensitive to fuel pressure and trash, set the fuel pressure to no more than 6 to 6.5psi and use a good quality filter and you should be fine.
