Lincoln SA-200

I had asked Lincoln this while tracking some parts a while back. They could not tell me a year, only anything after a code of 7044 had al in it, until the classics. I have two 1970 models now, one that has al and one that is all cu, same as a redface. Both have black face fronts on them, and the code numbers on the generator match the face so I dont think they have been pieced together.

Go to firstratefabricators.com then click on welding roots and scroll down there will be a list of serial# by year from 1932 thru 1987. The copy I printed is not to clear ,you can see it better on their web site. Hope this helps.

Your welcome Jerry. I sure wish I could find a red face or any sa-200 for that matter. That runs and welds good, with out having to pay the same price or more than they sold for new. Years ago. It wouldn't so bad if the machines were not in need of alot of repair work from the start. Sorry I just needed to vent. Not having any luck finding a good machine out here in the deserts of west Texas and New Mexico.

Are you sure about that ? I was thinking it was 1981 when they started using aluminum not sure for how long, thats why I'm asking you guy's. Thanks.
