I found a great source of flap discs about a year ago on ebay.  I am not affliated with them, but, have found the product to be very good and the prices reasonable.  Their web-site is www.lehighvalleyabrasives.com and you can buy direct.

Flappers are an absolute must when you're doing residential hoity toity stuff. Makes everything look pretty. If it was me, I'd rather see a beautiful weld than a sanded down one............

Haha, reminds me of a guy I built a truck bumper for. I built it out of 1-1/2 OD round tubing. After he took it home, he grinded down all of the welds, then put Bondo over it to make the transition smooth. What a tradegy. Kind of like taking a brand new car home and spray painting it
