Yes it is possible to weld Ductile cast iron.  If you have not experienced welding Ductile iron before, I would suggest that you read the Welding hand book from AWS, or, Lincoln Electric Arc welding procedures hand book Chapter 8.

Since you did not express which weld process you had available, I would suggest you discuss this with your local welding supplier, they can recommend the proper Rod or Electrode.
