My father has had a welding and repair shop for over 30 years and is ready to close shop.  How does one sell the business or go about liquidating all of his tools and equipment?  He lives in a small Northern California town and doesn't even know where to begin.  Any suggestions???
Thank You!

Try ebay.com and craigslist.com and I am sure there are other ways online to sell the tools and equipment.  I know people that will drive across the country for good tools and a reasonable price and of course there is shipping of the smaller stuff.  All it takes is a digital camera and a bit of computer know-how.  There is also a section on this website for selling equipment.   I am sure others on this site will have some ideas as well.

Good luck

Rebekah

There are realtors that specialize in selling businesses.
You may get more for it than selling a little at a time.

If not selling as a turnkey operation then try posting things on e-bay. This site itself has a for sale section to list tools etc.
