Hello,

I am looking for a flash welder to weld similar (like) aluminum shapes together.  The majority of the welds would be straight (as opposed to a 90° corner).  The shapes that I use vary from U-channel to box to A-channel.  Sizing ranges from 5/8" x 1-5/8" to 3-1/4" sq. to 1-3/4" x 5-3/4".  Most of the aluminum is 6063-T6.  Wall thicknesses range from 0.060" to 0.25".  I need the strength of the welds to match the strength of the material.

What I imagine is that there would be a pneumatic clamping system on each side of the central element/unit that clamps the material in a V-shaped trough for proper alignment.

Is there a standard machine that someone makes that fits the bill?
