Here's one of the ladies that I work with doing her first underwater weld.  On the side of the t plate that she's welding on is some welding to show her how it should be done, and yes she caught on quickly.

Good guess, we still have the New Iberia facility, but this is at the Carlyss facility.  Tom is still around, his office is still in New Iberia.

woman make great welders. I had a girl in my class once and it was incredible how fast she picked up tig welding
