You've came to the right place. However; more specifics are going to be needed. What processes, codes, and materials are you working to?

What thickness and type of material are you welding and in what position(s).  What gas mix are you useing?  I am assuming you are running solid wire.  This info will help us help you.

ok i buld up parts an the thickness is different for different parts.i might have 1part that is 3/8 in thickness and another part might be 1/2in thick.some times i have to weld uphill downhill flat overhead,it just depends on how cought up i am on my regular parts.i dont want to be asked if i can do thes extra jobs an really not know what i am doin.the gas is 25%argon an 75%carbon dioxide solid wire 045 hobart 6045 with wire feeder with a 44lb roll, welder on about 25.5 and wire feeder set on 7.any help i can get will be greatly appreceated.

try seting your heat a lil lower....specially if you're overhead. on the speed...what's the range? If you're welding on a thicker surface then you need to slow down a lil. When I run mig I'm using a millermatic 225. My settings are 20(amps) wirespeed is 225 and gas somewhere around 15. I hope this is of some use to you.
