I am a pipe welder out of chicago. i am getting tried of working in the city and i would like to go on the road. i have a gas drive and a ford f-350 to mount it on. My question is what other things should i have on my rig. Any info or pictures of other rigs would greatly help.

There is a thread going on in Shop Talk called "pictures of welding beds." Some nice rigs to give you an idea. Keep in mind not all rigs are this nice.

If you're servicing  gas rigs, you need 2 bottles of each - oxy & acetylene.

Don't try one of each, especially if you are running at night when nothing is open.......you WILL be screwed sooner or later!

Us non union guys, just need to pound the pavement and drum up work. I was Local7 Ironworkers, and don't think I could ever go back.

ty brother ill try that, but with my 18 years of expieriece i think the angle of the rod and the heat could cause those problems with the 5p+
