i know  this is proably a dumb question,   but i  have been reading and some guys say they have pipeline poles on there trucks,  any pipeliners out  there???   most of my dads side of the family  are or work on the pipeline  and i  never have heard them talk about this,  just wondering  what they are and there purpose????

                      like i  said   i  figured that  was a dumb question  thanks  for the answer,     i just seen  it talked about  when i  was googling  and didn't know  what  it was

some pipeliners call them a hooiser pole i think

I am from IN. never heard them called a hooiser pole or a pipeline pole. we always just called them lead trees

mine holds my umbrella and leads i call it an umbrella pole

also, when driving down the pipeline right of way, the pole will help keep your leads from getting run over. that is why my spools or (reals) are mounted behind the axle... so i wont run over them
