Regarding fillet welds...Are they not prequalified according to section 3.14?  If yes, then why is PQR qualification of fillet welds outlined in table 4.2? Are only certain types/materials/positions of fillet welds considered prequalified?

Also, what is the range of of thickness qualified for performance qualification of fillet welds?  Table 4.3 does not outline anything regarding normal plate T-test fillet welds.  Would the limitations and test specimen be the same as D1.1?

If someone could please shed some light on the above mentioned questions it would be greatly appreciated.
