Would you happen to have, or know where to find an air cleaner for a F-162? I just bought a 1949 shorty. It is missing the air cleaner.
I called Highway 60 Equipment and talked to Kyle, he suggested I call Stumpf Welding Supplies, talked to Kevin. Kevin said it has been a couple years since they have had any short hood air cleaners in stock. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Keep a lookout on ebay... The oil bath's are hard to find. Most people go with an aftermarket K&N. Ask Kaye at Bill's Welder Repair.405 232 4799

Good luck! S.W.

Kaye has an aircleaner on her website for sale http://www.billswelderrepair.com/parts-page.html scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see the oil bath and you will see the K&N she sells or you and keep watching ebay and you'll see people selling them there

According to my manual I downloaded from Lincoln's site the air cleaner for a short hood looks almost the same size as a K&N filter except with a 90° elbow, and of course an enclosed unit. That one listed on the link you posted is for a F-163, looks just like the one on my 1974 SA-200.
Maybe the air filter on e-Bay didn't go that high after all seeing what Kay is asking for that one!
Thanks Chris!

I' am watching! I seen an oil bath air cleaner for a F-163 on e-Bay a few weeks ago, can't remember what exactly it went for but I thought it was high.
I also have a 1971 SA-200, (without air cleaner, engine is froze), and a 1974 SA-200 which is complete.

I've been reading here for quite a few months before deciding to join and ask a few questions. I remember reading a post from Kay about the K&N air filters. I just bought this short hood last week, it will be a winter project, right now have too many other irons in the fire before winter sets back in!
Thanks so much for your reply!

best i can say is good luck those things are very hard to find and when ya do find 1 it is a high dollar item but i will keep a look out you can always put a k&n filter on it for about 40.00

That is most likely what will happen. Would be nice to be all original, or as close as possible.
I do like a good treasure hunt though. :o)
Thank you for keeping an eye out!
