Hello all, This is something i read about in the AWS welding processes vol 1 that ive been curious about. How hard is it to braze glass to steel, and where would I find indium braze metals? Thanks Clif
It really depends on the glass. Some ceramics have to be metallized first. That is similar to a powder coating process where the glass gets a metalliac coating for the braze to flow into.
Ok, so its going to be alot more difficult than i thought... I was hoping for it to be like using a normal braze rod, but from the sounds of it, the process is alot more indepth than I thought. thanks for the reply, gotta get ready for school - Clif
