I took my National Board Exam last week. (12-5&6) I recieved my letter...... And I passed!!!! I just wanted to spread the news and possibly see if anyone knows of a Company that may be looking for an Inspector? I can't get my "A" endorsement until March.

if a company pays for me to go take my cwi test and i leave that company do they have the right to keep my cwi being that they payed for it

no. the cert is yours. there is no reference to the company on it. some companies will ask for you to refund the money if you leave the company within a certain time frame. i do not believe that this is legal. some will prorate the cost depending on the amount of time you work for them after testing. it is more of a benefit for them than you to have you certified, typically.

yeah cause then the company can say that they have a cwi on the grounds and charge more to the job or something like that right

I would prefer to stay local. With the shortage of AI's I would think that there would be openings somewhere here. I would definately consider traveling and maybe even relocating, but staying local would be my first choice. I just got my paperwork filled out for my API 510. Successfully passing the National Board Exam from what I've been told makes you eligible for the 510 without having to take the test. So I will also have that certificate within the next few weeks.

Look into Hartford Insurance. They are always looking for A.I's.

Thanks
Jim

The houston area, or surrounding areas

Motiva is looking for QA reps, but you would be expected to travel.  You would not be an AI, but the AI credential will carry you a long way.
