I 'am had been qualified WPS /WPQR for API 5L X 52 is S1 ,G1 according to ASME IX , and new project have piping material API 5L X 65 is  S1 G 2, do we need to re-qualify API 5L X 65 , As I understand that , the material same P number ( S Number )  according to ASME is qualified. As I found differance is API 5L X52 min YS 66 but X65 YS 77.Could you please clarify for this matter .do we need to re-qualify API 5L X 65?

Shouldn't have to unless your project specs call for it.  I dont have my Sect. IX with me but double check the Group numbers there's some verbiage in there that you might be able to wiggle around and also double check the supplementary essential variables if ya got notch toughness requirements.

If notch-toughness requirements apply (e.g. Charpy V-notch tests or Drop Weight tests), then S-No. 1 Group No. 1 does not qualify for S-No. 1 Group No. 2.  If there are no notch-toughness requirements, then the change in Group No. does not apply and the procedure is qualified for all other S-No. 1 materials.  See QW-403.5.
