For any of you interested:

Permanent Full Time Position for private sector Aerospace Company.  Benefits include Health, life, dental, vision, 401k with 4% company match, FSA account, two weeks vacation 1st year (available after 90 days), paid sick leave, discounts on cell phones to cars.  Family Health plans etc. are very reasonable and the insurance is good.  Shop is air conditioned and clean...fabrications are small and light.  7% of base pay shift differential is also offered.  The pace of work is very relaxed and the focus is on quality and getting it right the first time.  Pay will vary with experience in TIG welding, fab and sheet metal skills a plus.....I made 52k with them this year and have been there 3 years.  Thats pretty decent money in this area.  The company itself is stable and growing rapidly....we are booked beyond capacity for many years down the road.

Requirements:  Must be able to pass regular drug screens and FBI background check.  Basically TIG experience on a wide variety of metals....the thinner the better.  The ability to run small tight beads on steels in and in tight spots.  Must be capable of TIG welding in ALL positions.  Ability to read highly detailed in depth prints and use calipers, scales etc. is a must.  Very close tolerance work, ability to analyze and troubleshoot welding and fit up problems is necessary.  The right candidates will be given 30 days to certify in house on the job per AWS D17.1 on aluminum, stainless and 4130 steel.  The thickness ranges will run from .032 to .250 on a total of 18 coupons.  A visual acuity test is also a requirement to certify.  Any other alloy groups will be done on an as needed basis after probationary period has passed.  Recent or soon to be Tech School Graduates with hands on education in TIG are encouraged to apply as well as any experienced welders looking to move into Aerospace welding.
