I would like to know the easiest way to arrive at projected consumption rates for certain types of welds.  how much welding rod to complete one 6 inch weld schedule 40 .280 wall.  first pass downhill with 1/8 6010 then fill and cap with 3/32.

What is the formula or calculations for this problem.
