can i join 798 with a miller 350 trailblazer or are they picky?

It will have more to do with who you know than what machine is on your truck. If you have a friend or a relative who is in 798 and they have invited you to join, then you are in good shape. If you are under the impression 798 will let you join because you are a good welder, lets say you may be slightly disapointed.

Local 798 is taking in any welder who can pass the test and wants to join.
798 is actively recruiting welders, helpers and journeymen.
If you have an interest in joining then you need to talk to them directly.
If you can use the internet then you can find their phone number in Tulsa.
The test has to be taken at the 798 welding school in Tulsa. The test is a 24" .500 wall. You can test with your rig or any one of the many welding machines at the school.

yep 24inch 500 wall 12 straps 2 face 2 roots and 8 niks

The test cost 250.00 for test. If you fail you don't get the money back.
also another 310.00 for fees,dues. 560 to join 798 and another 1800 for union dues and book.
We thought about joining.
anyone, can take the test and join.  but, they don't tell you how soon you go to work and they give you I think  two choices
work right now mo,ms,il  a few other states.

do you know who I would talk to, about some student's that I have that have about completed my course? I have some a couple of guys that are really top notch and will go along way.Thanks for any help
