I am preparing to weld (GMAW) 410 stainless. Plate thicknesses are from 3/16" to 3/8". Plates are being received in the annealed condition. I do not want to do any extensive pre-heating or any post weld heat treat. Is an ER-309LSi wire the way to go or is there a better alternative. Thanks for your response.
Good choice! We use it very often for the same reasons. Your other choices could be a Inconel wire but its more expensive.
