I have no direct experience, but offer these suggestions:
Make sure all the controll and machine tool chassis grounding wires have good connections at both ends.
Rout all welding cables away from position sensers, controll boxes, and the wiring between them.
Atach the welding ground directly to the work, or to the fixturing if You can not atach to the work. Never hook to the machine tool.
