am running a miller bob cat welder now welding on carbon steal pipe i now a guy how has a sa200 and a classic 2 he wants to trade my bob cat for one of them, thay are to big for him to tote around on the farm both are in good shape any input on thease welders will be helpful or should stay with the bob cat

if they are in good working order it would be a good trade for either of these machines.they are great for pipe welding.the classic 2 would be an hell of a trade

kinda what i was thinking. Does it have the duetz in the classic 2? I'd be all over that.

Be careful! Make sure its not the air cooled Deutz. There is a good reason why Lincoln didn't make too many of those! You may have hell with it over the summer if it gets good and hot where you live and you will be working it long and hard every day. The one I used didn't even have glow plugs so starting it early in the morning in winter was a fun little project also.

yes it is a deutz on the classic 2 it has 1,068.0 hrs on it, and the sa 200 is gas with a contonentl on it . it is around a 1997 also it looks to be in good shape to but it has to be put on my truck longways becouse it is alot longer. and he wants a 1000.00 and my bobcat it is new , any buddy no what the classic 2 was new in 1997 ?

looks like the classic 2 is the one to get, thay say all it is is a sa250 with a deutz same welder

my buddys been running a classic 2 with the duetz for a couple years and he really likes it , spun the little fan belt off the oil cooler fan and an exciter prob but thats it , hes got an oilpan heater on it the same as you put on the 305g's but its still not the easiest thing to start when its really cold , sometime if it was -40c he would let her run all night in camp
