Up Topic Welding Industry / General Welding Discussion / Should I go pipe welding?
- - By msanchez Date 03-26-2008 18:26
I'm living in NJ right now, and have about 4 yrs exp in stick welding, nothing techinical though just ornamental stuff, like windows, rails, doors, etc.

I've been reading this forum for about 2 days now, and it seems the big money is in pipe welding with your own rig. It also seems that the best way for me to learn and get paid is through a Union.

Should I try and get certified first then look for a job or Union?

Thanks

msanchez,
I would post this question in the "shop talk" part of the forum. You'll get alot of answers from there. Just post a new topic!
