Cyclic loaded structures have movement due to impact, waves, wind gusts and strong earthquakes. As Bill said, it's up to the EOR to specify in the contract documents whether the structure is cyclic or static because cyclic structures have more restrictions than static. I have yet to see a spec. where the EOR has specified this. If this is your case, you have two options. Treat the structure as cyclic and proceed accordingly, or contact the EOR and ask.
