We have got a contract of manufacturing several Coke Drums. The Owner asks us do heat transient ansys. Who know who can do it? How much do it? In addition, who can do welding residual stress analyze?
Thanks.

Residual stress analysis in coke drums.
Nowadays there are portable machines that perform residual stress analysis by X ray diffractometry at the jobsite.
Get in touch with Rigaku (www.rigaku.com)

I didn't understand exactly the other question: what's ansys? I hope someone else answers you.

Please define "heat transient ansys"

Is this a transient heat transfer analysis during startup or shutdown from ambient temperature to operating temperature or vice versa looking at the thermal stresses developed during these transient conditions? or the a analysis of the thermal stresses at steady state operating conditions? or an analysis during the welding process?

Thanks. You know, during coke drums working, it is from 480centi grade(temperature)to 50centigrade(temperature)continously for coking and decoking. So there exists thermal stress, forther more, the coke drun endures internal pressure. The coke drum will failure because of thermanl fatigue through many cycles someday. We need analyzing the continous thermal stress changing. That is the heat transient analyze. Who can do it? Who owns such software. It is said there is an  american company which can do it? Who could tell me in detail? Many thanks.
