Hi everyone

We are seeing,as we all are, more and more weld prints using the ISO standards for weld symbols. I have a very good understanding of them except for one element I dont fully understand. Im sure someone here will know right away.
The symbol element that is labeled" distance between weld elements".  Of course in AWS we know that is the "pitch".,  With ISO do we measure that the same way,,or are we to measure from the end of a weld to the start of the next,,as opposed to center to center?

Thanks everyone in advance

cfrancis,
I could be mistaken as it has been awhile since I worked under ISO standards, but if memory serves me correctly, even though the terminoligy is different the end result is the same.

Per ISO 2553, the standard way to call an intermittant weld out is n x l (e)
Where n is the number of welds, and l is the length, and e is the distance between the welds (not center to center or pitch)
