I have a old 77 ford stepside i really wanna put in the weeds but don't wanna do a front clip or spend the 600 bucks it costs to buy dropped i beams (that i've been told don't fit worth a dang anyways). so i'm thinking of building some. but here is my delima I will have to use the ends off the original i beams the spindle and the king pin area. these are a cast steel. So what would be the proper material to weld the cast steel to the box mild steel tubing. i was thinking just fluxcore but others have said i might have to use a stainless steel wire. i'm not to sure so thought id post it up here and see what ya'll think.
