The elements C, Al, Ti, and Nb have an effect on the weldablity of IN718. It seems there is a chemistry range developed by Pratt & Whitney for IN718 that minimizes weld cracking. This range should be within PWA649 and AMS5383 specifications. Does anyone have a reference to this chmistry?
