I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of reading I should look for when checking the exciter field coils and the exact place to test them with an ohmmeter.Any help would greatly appreciated,thanks
depending upon the age of the machine 140 to 167 ohms, this is just the exciter coils. You can read the voltage across the brush holders themselves also.
