Hello ironman48, if you have followed many of the threads where similar questions have been asked on the forum you have probably noticed that company held certs are very common. There are really not a lot of instances where it is advantageous to "own" your certification. As you go from job to job and employer to employer they will likely require retesting and thus the only real advantage to having your own certification is to possibly show that you have passed the qualification in the past. Plus, you could run into a situation where the company might not offer to pay for the renewal of the certification even though it is being used by them for their work and you would probably be left to pay for it.
