I need to buy some 6010 1/8" electrodes. I see Anchor brand electrodes online that are significantly less expensive than other brands. They are around $2.50 for a 5 lb box compared to about 3 times that for the best prices I've seen elsewhere on other brands and about 5 times less expensive than Lincoln Fleetweld 5P.

Don't forget to figure in Shipping costs! Can't recall ever using this particular brand. It might be the buy of the century, or there could be very good reason why they are so cheap. Seems to me, on every code job I've worked, if there were off brand 6010's ordered, it wasn't long before they were rejected/refused by the welders or "accidently" water damaged.
Sometimes a deal is not a deal. Are these factory seconds, rejected for quality or performance issues?

I see them sold from reputable places. Look like well packaged, etc. I guess I'll just but some and try them out. It's not for code work, just for a home project and practice.
