What do polarity and amps do I set the machine up for Carbon and Stainless for 1G and 2G?

I can confidently answer DCSP for the polarity question however GTAW will work on DCEP, ACHF etc. Maybe that will help some.

As you can probably see from the replies you recieved, your question was lacking some critical information. Kind of like asking how much sugar do you put in a cake.

You need to put more info. like what kind of SS or CS thickness, which electrode (316L or ER XX) the size of the electrode (3/32, 1/8, etc..)
