I am a CWI and I am wanting to start macroetching and fillet break tests on t-joints.  Does anyone know of anybody in North Carolina, around the Greensboro area who can train me on this?

Do some research on the net about macro etching.  What kind of questions do you have about it?  Heck, you could probably get trained just by researching the topics with pictures and such in this forum.  The particular code you are working to will also determine what you need to be looking for in your etches and where to take the etches from.

Look in the back of ASME IX, there's formula's for different mixtures for different alloys.  Just be damned careful to mix in a non-metallic container and pour acid into water NEVER the other way around!!  Naturally, wear all necessary safety gear and avoid breathing fumes!
