Hey ya'll! Does anyone out there use the 300D on the pipeline? Ive been doing station work and such, never pipeline. Tested for one in Lousianna, and they wanted to put me on, but got nervous and blew it. Chalked it up to experience, and want to try again. Trouble here is, I realize it is fast paced work. Will I keep up with the SA 200s with this? I keep hearing and reading they simply wont fill it up like an SA200, leaving me with more work to do while my brother in law is finished. What are some thoughts and or solutions?

07 Classic 300D. 1482 hrs. Aint jumpy just yet cause I need to get back to work asap. But you have my interest! Seems I cant lay down the metal around the belly of the pipe. Been practicing on the X70 coupon I brought home from Louisianna. 70+. Some days are diamond, some are stone. Might just be my hand, but I would love to feel the difference! As said, I aint quite to that point, though. Just need to hear from a few hands how they are getting it done. Thanks for your response! I will keep that deal in mind.

I thought you might like to try another machine I would not be able to trade wouldnt have enough toboot HA HA! to much money but my boss has an 07 300d and has about 5or6 months use on it could not make it weld like his 84 sa 200 that burns a quart of oil a day so he put it back and went back to the old reliable he has been pipelinin for over 30 years
