I have a 97 SA250 and a 07 vantage 300, I can say if you are having problems with the SA250 that is rare, my Vantage 300 in my opinion is a nice machine, I haven't done a lot of downhill with it but uphill with lo-hi it is the thing to have. As far as fuel it is pretty easy on it, I arc-gouged with it for two days and didn't use a have a tank, its light only weighs 1035lbs. and it is quiet and smooth not like that load vibrating SA250.
I like my 305D (2006 model) a lot better than the 300D (2005 model) that I had for a year. The 300D was junk and spent most of its life in the shop. I really, really miss my SA-250. The 300D didn't even come close to welding like the SA-250 did and the mileage was a lot worse.
I went the Rental place and rented a Vantage 300 for the weekend that helped me to decide. I opted for the 305D for size, weight, and price.
I have been running a Vantage for about a year. I my opinion Linclon should quit making all other machines. It is the best I have ever owned. BAR NONE
well since it seems like my 250 will never be out of the shop I'm gonna see about renting a vantage if I have some work come up next week.... I just borrowed a bobcat 225 to go do a shut down for the past 2 weeks.. man I hated driving around with that sitting on my bed haha but it was free. anybody know where I can rent one in tyler or longview??
One of these places should have a Vantage 300. They both rent them here but that's 700 miles from you.
