Press Brake For Ironworker/Post your fab pics!

Here's a 10" 1/4" capacity Press Brake I built for my ironworker about 4 years ago. I'm rebuilding the machine & will be posting pics when I get it done. Junk iron at it's finest!

If you have anything neat, or just practical you have built, (BESIDES a custom bike!) post a pic! I love to see stuff other people build. Weld on!

Looks good. I have a Metal Pro 4000 [it is a toy, but OK for a shade tree operation like Mine] I need to build some guaging for it's press brake, as it came with nothing.

Yeah. I looked at Scotchman's brake & they wanted a ton of money for it. This is a little lighter than theirs, but works good for small stuff. I did buy the dies, much cheaper in the long run than buying tool steel & milling it on a manual mill all day. I can show you how I made that back guage, it's easy. S.W.

We have one of these.

It amazes me constantly.. Will shear sheet metal down to 0.020 with no burr and will also whack 3/8 plate all day long and even thicker in short sections. Cuts bar, cuts angle, has a punch. a real beast.

That baby's wicked. I just have a little 4014 turret ironworker. Does the job & I only have a 20 X 22' garage. Space is tight. Nice machine, Lawrence! S.W.

It will shear just under 23"

As the width of cut increases the thickness of metal decreases somewhat.
