Does anyone know they gauge porosity in the x-ray test? I'm testing soon and I've heard conflicting stories. Some say none is allowed others say a little is OK.
We must know what type of test you are taking and to what code. API, D1.1, ASME? The code allows a certain amount of discontinuities including porosity. There are some imperfections that are not allowed such as cracks.
