we are welding a small platform 36x18x2out of t6 alum,2x2 angle frame with 2 supports equally spaced,angle is 1/8 thick,with a 1/8 diamond plate top,frame and plate must be welded solid and pass a dye penetrant test,and mill-std-1907,first one failed,due to to many stop and starts and small pits in welds,what is the best way to do this,we are using 1/8 tungsten,pure argon,# 8cup,5356 filler rod,as states in print,please help,thanks,ironman48.
