How long does it take to hear back from your CWI Exams?

4-6 weeks. if you receive a small evelope in the mail it's not good. if it's a big one then congrats.

They are trying to speed up the process, it took 3 weeks (if memory serves me right) to get my results. but there is a way to find out sooner.

It took 13 days to get my results. I took the test 6/28/08 and  recieved my "big yellow envelope" on 7/11/08

I called the cert. dept. and they gave me my number about ten days after the test.

how hard was it how long did it take to take it and are you an aws member i'm not but have been thinking of joing guess i'll have to to get my cwi for non members its 1,018 to take the test ouch

Yeah the testing, seminars and especially the study materials are discounted by joining.  The relative small fee to join will pay for itself quick if you buy books and attend seminars.

I took the exam only, 800 bills for members( if i remember right) joining AWS for 2 years certainly paid for the difference in exam fees alone, along with the 25% discount on all the books. For the small fee I will continue to stay a member, the yearly fee is worth the savings in books I buy alone!

The exam is the hardest exam I have taken in 30 years. (its also the only one besides driving and employment exams I have taken in those 30 years)
It is a 3 part exam with each part taking 2 hours to complete so it takes 6 hours. you will find all the info in QC1:2007 and B5.1:2003 which is in pdf format here:

thanks man i'll look at them are they the study material or just guides to get me started and yes i think i'm gonna join i also think i'm goin for the d1.1

just guides to give you an idea of the things you should know, and the code of ethics, the study material will cost you!
